Farm Radio - the hub of information for Australia's small acreage farmers.

Farm Implement Gallery

All the weird and wonderful things you see in a farm machinery shop - and what they do.

A chisel plough - the big boy you need to break the ground initially if you are that way inclined.

Diamond harrows are used to smooth out freshly turned soil or cover seed sown in a paddock. Dragged behind the tractor or ute.

A three point linkage cement mixer. Very handy for sinking strainer posts. Just don't tell Smithy.

Stump jump harrow. Aparently follows the contours of the ground and picks up and spits out clumps of vegetation.

A spring tine tiller - light duty - for smoothing things out a bit.

The famous mouldboard plough has turned a lot of native country into non-native country.

A spring tine tiller - medium duty for when the soil surface has already been turned.

A three point linkage rotary hoe used for market gardens.

A hay rake. For raking hay.
