Choosing the Right Welder

Welding is a very handy skill to have on a farm. There are any number of jobs that could be done around the farm using a welder from building or fixing gates, to repairing the tractor and more.

But what sort of welder should you buy - Arc, MIG or gasless MIG?

Think about where you might want to weld - in the workshop or out in the paddock. If you want to weld in the paddock, do you have a portable generator big enough to run the welder (5kva and bigger)?
